I picked up these beautiful sunflowers today! Caleigh said they looked like her lion she made in school on Monday...I agree!

The Easter Table

Yes, it seems we needed an Easter Table in our house....no, not a few decorations scattered here & there. The 3 year old was "helping", so all things Easter/Rabbit/Christ related that she could reach in the house, went on the Easter Table. ;) Enjoy!

100 Year Celebration

Happy 100th Year Birthday to the little country church we love!

We went to church here for 5 years when we lived in this little community many years ago. We have attended Easter, Fall Festival, VBS, and Christmas services here since we moved back to Texas 7 years ago. We have been going every Sunday for about a month now & are considering making it our home church once again. It's about a 40 minute drive from our house, but it just feels like home. :)

It was a beautiful day to spend at the zoo! HOT though! It hit 90 today! All of the animals were out enjoying the sunshine....

Our zoo has a wonderful playground with sandboxes & other cool things for the kids to play on.

We had a wonderful "Fun Friday" at the Zoo!

Tomorrow, the Easter Bunny is making his debut at the Mall....we're going at 10. Caleigh is VERY excited...we'll see how it goes once we get there !!! That bunny is huge!

A Snippet of Our Day

I found these cool grammar blocks at a consignment sale. My boys LOVE them, and so does Caleigh. They are in colored groups of subject/verb phrase/adjective phrase or adverb phrase. You can mix & match them to make silly sentences. Then, you put your sentence together on paper with the correct punctuation and capitalization & share. We were all laughing within ten minutes & they begged to do more. Yes, more grammar, more writing, more fun....I'm all for it! Guess what we're doing for grammar tomorrow? Yep, it's already on the schedule! Now, little sister is usually sitting right along side us for a lot of our school day, especially the reading and science. Today, she decided to join in for Grammar since it involved cool colored blocks she could color sort & stack! There are 45 of them in the set. They're called Tell-A-Story Cubes. Yep, you can put a bunch of funny sentences together to tell a funny story. This is right up my Mad-Libs Loving Kids alley! Might want to getcha some! I tell you, they have already paid for themselves in one day....I got them for $5 at the sale! :)

Today after church & lunch...everyone gathered on the swing....I decided to take some pics hoping to catch the moment when it broke & everyone landed on the ground!LOL! It never did...
