Hip Hip Hooray for Fridays!

I just must say my boys are rockin' their math & I'm so excited!!! After 'school' we hung out at Discovery Science Place for the afternoon with friends. FUN! And...I totally walked out of the house without my camera! But, I did take all 3 kids & brought them all home, so I didn't forget the important stuff!!! So....here's a random picture just so I can say I posted one! This is from exactly 4 months ago & she is wrinkling her nose up which she never does anymore....I miss that!

Have a great weekend everyone! It's supposed to rain & storm here, but I think I'll head to the big home-school used book sale in the morning & check it out! It's supposed to be great! I'm sure I will come home with several things I didn't go for, but that's just me!

Bye Bye Baby Bed

Caleigh helped me take her baby crib down today...you can tell, she was quite upset....;)

I'm diggin' her two hat look...she got into the wrapping paper I had stored under her crib!

It's gone! It gave me a lot more space & opened up her room for playing.

She's driving 'her car' here....she had to get her purse & phone of course!

Oh...and as far as the sand goes...yes, those are the first 2 bags in the box...I bought a sweeper & we put back what's spilled out at the end of the day. I'm cheap that way! I'm hopeful she'll walk on the beach this summer! She's always disliked the sand under her feet on the beach. Maybe this year is her year!

My Little Girl in her Big Bed

I'll save you the story, since I posted it yesterday....Caleigh did sleep all night in her big girl bed a good 12 hours of uninterrupted sleep. Ahhhh....she's napping in it right now...I don't think there's any turning back to the crib, but I'll leave it in her room for a week or so just to be sure. Anyone need a crib??? She likes her 'big girl bed'. Mommy will like it as long as she stays in it! It is pretty high, so I think it will take her a while to be comfortable climbing in & out by herself. We'll see ;)

Oh, and she moved all of her 'friends' into her new bed too! It's kinda crowded in there!

Giddy Up!

So....we went to the Athens Rodeo last night & it was fun! We were on the front row in a box seat & let me tell you...it was up close & personal. Those bulls are big! The boys won a trophy in the wagon races (They were excited!) and they did the race to the calf...(you try to be the first one to pull a ribbon off a calf's tail...who happens to be running all over the arena.) If you get it, you win a bike! They didn't win...but it was fun anyway! Little sister enjoyed all the cool music & the pretty cowgirls all dressed up in their bling bling belts & such. We actually ran into friends unexpectedly & they sat with us, so it was a party! Didn't get home 'til 11:00....kids still awake, so yes...we had a late night, but it was worth it! Spent today in the yard & my parents came over for a visit. Guess I'll be a day behind on pics because I just now got some rodeo ones done to post. I'm very disappointed in my camera. I don't know if it was the lighting or what, but most of my pics stink!

Oh....and Caleigh is asleep in her big girl bed for the first time tonight! It wasn't intentional, but I had James put the safety bar up & she wanted to know what was up...so...I said "when you're ready, you can sleep here, in a bigger bed." She said "I'm ready now....this was this morning at 10 am....let's take a nap!" hahaha! well, when tonight rolled around, she wanted to sleep in the bigger bed.....so I put her in her big bed and she went right to sleep. We'll see if it continues...stay tuned!

Friday, April 23rd

Caleigh has found a new way to take her bath...she lays down in the water to get her hair wet instead of me using the cup....she soaps up then lays back down to rinse the soap out. It makes for some cool medusa like pictures of a cutie! Trust me, these would not have been so cute last night when she pooped in the tub! WHY do babies & toddlers have to do this? ICKY (to the MAX! as my boys would say!) I must agree! Tonight was much better! Bryce's ear is doing ok. He was on Tylenol & the drops today, but I didn't hear any complaints. He woke me up at 6 this morning for a dose of Motrin, but he wasn't upset or anything, so I will say we had a good night. :) Thankful for doctors & meds!

After 2 years, our wisteria is finally blooming! Hooray! I grew up with a wisteria out my bedroom window. I planted one looking out of Caleigh's window after we received her referral. So pretty & the bees and butterflies love it!

I don't know what the deal was, but this little girl was on the move! ALL DAY!

Just a few cute pics from this afternoon outside....my poor Bryce woke up with an earache, so we spent a couple of hours at the doctor's office with him & came home with a 10-day supply of antibiotic and a $70 pain relief drops for his ear. Yes, $70! I about died! Without insurance it would have been $190!!! For a little bitty bottle of ear drops!!! Dang! They better work wonders tonight!!! I almost didn't get them, but then I thought, my luck he will wake up in the middle of the night hurting & Tylenol won't touch it...so, here I sit & type and look at that little bottle thinking it could have been two new polo shirts for my boys!!! Oh well...such is life. Supposed to rain/storm all weekend starting tomorrow...so not sure when we'll get to try out the new sand table, but I'm sure it will see many, many hours of play in the weeks to come! Hope you had a good Thursday! We had Bible & Math this morning before Bryce's ear really started acting up, so we took a 'sick' day for the rest of the day.....yes, even home-schoolers get sick days ;) G'nite!
