Before the crash....

Happily playing Sat. morning.....after picking out her 'clothes'
Then....the crash...

Caleigh ran a low grade fever Friday am & pm. I really thought it was just teeth & she has a new one about to pop through on the bottom row. She woke up a couple of times again on Friday night as she had the night prior...but this time with fever a bit higher...uh oh. Sat. am was alright...she had fun "dressing & accessoring" herself. Then, while eating her lunch...it came...the crash...as in the child literally fell asleep in her high-chair (which has never happened before; this girl is serious about her food!) So, checked her temp: 100....as swiper would say: "AWWW MAN!" so, a dose of Tylenol & bed for her...she slept for 3 hours! UH OH! That's wayyyyy to good of a nap to be "good". I was right. During the night last night, she spiked to 103.5. I know it's not the pig flu since she's already had that; must be fighting a fever virus, but will take her to dr. to have the ole ears checked just in case....

A Day in Jammies

Peek-A-Boo
...Still her favorite blanket!
A tea party for bears.
Sharing her snack with her 'friends'

Today was yet another rainy day...however at 4:00 I got to see the sun for a bit! Hooray! Anywho, we stayed in our jammies & got a lot of playing & housework done. One of the things I absolutely LOVE about Caleigh is she will play independently in any room of the house I am working in! So, I can change beds in the boys room & she thouroughly enjoys playing with their things! In the kitchen, we have her little table & kitchen, so I can work in here cleaning or cooking, etc. & she plays happily forever! Girls are so very different from boys...I am learning to appreciate the differences in each.

....and some cake at 9:00 in Jammies!

....and we finally celebrated with cake at 9:00 in Jammies! I only had to re-light the candles about 20 times so she could blow them out over & over & over! She's pretty good at it!

Birthday Celebration With "The Mouse"

Caleigh went to "cheese" yesterday to celebrate her birthday day. She likes it...she even got brave & went up the see the "mouse" that sings on the stage. She got the giggles watching him; very cute! She is now into putting the "money" in the games herself & LOVES when the tickets come out. The boys had a great time shooting things up on the big kid games while James & I followed C around. All in all, a good day! She has her 2 year check up this morning....hope it doesn't include too many shots! Wish us luck!

Happy Birthday Baby Girl!

Happy 2nd Birthday Caleigh! Don't try to tell her she is 2! She says "No! Me Baby. Daddy's Baby" Oh my....

I brought her a birthday balloon home last night when I picked up her & Daddy's cake. She loves balloons & played with it all night long. It even "sleep with puppy" (stuffed puppy!) in her room last night. Oh & you can see her "boo boo" on her face where she collided with our marble bed-side table...yikes! It's healing pretty well, but boy, that was scary! Luckily, no stitches needed.

More pics to follow soon.....I'm off to get myself ready for Chuck-E-Cheese & then Cake & Ice Cream tonight. So...Happy Birthday to Caleigh & Daddy. I just think it's super cool that they share a Birthday! The boys share a birthday & my daughter & husband share a birthday....wonder who I share a birthday with?!?!

More Days At Grampie & Grandma's

The Teddy Bear had to go & 'visit' too.
Somewhere along the way, she lost her dress...my mom keeps her house too warm for us!
Thank goodness for sugar free lolli-pops.
Check out my shades I got in the Cace's Treasure Chest! I'm so cool!
Still the sweetest thing in the world!

Caleigh & I spent last weekend at my mom & dad's again...the boys & daddy seem to be taking off & doing more "guy" things lately that just aren't always baby friendly. Hey, that's cool & Caleigh & I enjoy more days with the grandparents. We even got treated to lunch at Johnny Cace's. The boys made up for it with a sleepover there last Saturday night, so I think everyone is even on grandparent time (which seems to be important to 9 yr. old boys!) The big birthday is Monday & I've been told that Caleigh would love to celebrate at Chuck-E-Cheese...well, the boys are out of school & daddy's working, so "Caleigh" might get her wish. I'm sure the boys will be pleased.

She is cutting her bottom eye teeth & finally her 2 teeth beside her front two bottom teeth (whatever they are called!) They've all broken through & are about 1/2 way in. She is talking up a storm...she can say any single word she wishes & is now making the 2-3 word phrases..her favorites right now are "me do that" & "mommy do that", "Caleigh wake", "Caleigh nite-nite"...she talks about herself in 3rd person all the time; it's so funny. I must say life is easier with an early talker....she expresses herself & her needs so well that she rarely gets frustrated or upset. She still takes naps & goes to bed with ease except on occasion (there are always "those days", you know?!?!). She eats most things....a few strange textures are quickly taken out of her mouth & given back to me...i.e.: broccoli, carrots, hamburger meat. She LOVES chicken, green beans, rice, potato, ham, cheese & pears. Potty training...well, that my friends is still a work in progress, but she tells me AS SOON as she has TT'd in her diaper & it is to be removed immediately. She is still going important in the potty. It will come along soon I think. She's super bright...takes her teddy & her newest big puppy (pics to come) to her room to "read" & copies everything the boys do. In the middle of everything; she will not miss anything at all. A true joy. A true blessing.

In 12 Days, She'll be 2...

.....I swear, it hurts me just to type that. In 12 days our youngest will be 2. That little girl I saw for the first time when she was just 8 months old is almost 2. It doesn't seem real. How could so many days have passed so soon? She looked so darling yesterday morning & the weather was perfectly overcast, I decided to go ahead & snap some pictures for her 2nd Birthday Shots....A couple turned out "frame-worthy"! Of course, I loved them all....here are some of my favorites:
