A Great Day for the Park!

We have a wonderful park about 10 minutes away from our house. It's sponsored by Brookshire Bro.'s Grocery & it has an outdoor play area & an indoor museum with all kinds of animals & an old fashioned General Store. It's always a hit & our kids never get tired of going. I kinda feel like a loser mom because this is the first time we've been this year! When the boys were little, it was a weekly event. Guess I need to step it up a bit! We had a great time and spent three hours playing and looking around today. The weather was P.E.R.F.E.C.T.! Caleigh went on the Merry Go Round for the first time and we buried toes in the sand. Good Times.

Sunshine after the Rain

And they're headed out for the race!
Tricks

Talkin' tricks.

This girl is a bike ridin' fool

Luckily, I got her in a helmet!

She has zero fear of going fast.

Yep, she's going to give me a run for my money!

Well, it looks like this Spring is the year of the scooters & bikes. You've looked at pictures of the kids on the trampoline for so many years, you're probably in shock! Now, the trampoline is not neglected by any means, but C begs the boys to play out front with her so she can ride her bike! They've rediscovered their scooters & are now practicing some new tricks. Now, if I could just get shoes on all 3!

Thank you God for the beautiful sunshine after all of our rain last night!

(leave a comment on this blog post so I will know) A Little bit about our Little one! For those who are new to our blog here is a little bit about Cori. She is 3 years old and living in foster care in Yulin, Guangxi, China. She was found on the steps of the hospital when she was estimated to be about a month old. She was taken to the Yulin 1st Social Welfare institute (aka orphanage) and found to have a large tumor growing on her neck. At 8 months old the tumor had grown so large that it had to be removed. Praise the Lord it was benign and all she is left with is a big scar on the right side of her neck. Due to being in an orphanage for 2 years and possibly due to the tumor other issues, she was delayed in growth, gross motor and speech so she was moved to foster care right around her 2nd birthday thanks to a sponsor through and organization in Scotland who is paying for her care. She has greatly improved over the last year but she is still delayed somewhat according to the update we got in February. We can not wait to get our little peanut home so we can get her assessed and get her the help that she needs. PLEASE consider being a piece of the puzzle to bring Cori home and sponsoring a piece or pieces of the puzzle via the chip in on the right.

The Easter Table

Yes, it seems we needed an Easter Table in our house....no, not a few decorations scattered here & there. The 3 year old was "helping", so all things Easter/Rabbit/Christ related that she could reach in the house, went on the Easter Table. ;) Enjoy!

100 Year Celebration

Happy 100th Year Birthday to the little country church we love!

We went to church here for 5 years when we lived in this little community many years ago. We have attended Easter, Fall Festival, VBS, and Christmas services here since we moved back to Texas 7 years ago. We have been going every Sunday for about a month now & are considering making it our home church once again. It's about a 40 minute drive from our house, but it just feels like home. :)
My husband & his little brother.

Shhhhh....don't tell our kids you need a fancy playground to have fun!

Hope you had a wonderful Sunday! It was a beautiful & warm sunny day here in East Texas!
