First Week of Pre-School

Sweet little working hands.
"I Did It!"

"See Mom, I colored this one Black."

Concentrating!

Snack Time...for some reason, ham was very funny on this day!

Her favorite snack spot recently...
Who doesn't love a cold Capri-Sun??!!!

I realize that most kids are getting out of school for summer break this time of year, but at our house.....Caleigh started Pre-School! She's loving every minute of it & begs me to do more every day. We're using a sweet little curriculum by Rod & Staff Publishers. I love it. She already knows all of her colors, but we started on color name recognition and tracing outlined pictures. She started number recognition and counting....we're up to #6. This is fun. It really makes me wish I would have homeschooled from the beginning with Blake & Bryce. I think she's going to fly through this over the Summer & Fall. Thank goodness my neighbor lent me another Pre-School Curriculum to get me throuh the Spring & following Summer!

Summer is Officially Here.

Searching for baby tomatoes.
And....she's off!

Sorry, spit happens.

Hey...look over there!

Pics are from yesterday, but about the same today! Sunny, hot, bike riding! Mommy got her hair chopped off for summer....

At 96 degrees today, I would say Summer has officially arrived.

So, I picked today to start cleaning out the front azalea bed which is being overtaken by our wisteria bush that refuses to bloom, but grows like crazy! Burning out back at 8:45...ahhh...the hubby should be thrilled with that when he gets home. What can I say? I got bored. He should get home earlier!!! ;)

ZipLine In New York

Bryce on the first Zip Line Bryce on the Practice run.
Blake coming in on the last line.

Happy to have accomplished that!

The Crew.

New York, Texas!

Zip Line Adventures.

Uncle Randy & Daddy took the boys Ziplining after their Baptism at Church on Sunday.

They had a BLAST!!! They were the only kids there & of course, they stole the show! We'll be back. Here are a few of my favorite pics. I loaded the whole album onto Facebook.

If you're within a couple of hours from East Texas, this is really a must to add to your "things to do before I die" list.

Blake Spring Recital 2011
Bryce Spring Recital 2011

Caleigh...post show performance...2011.

Blake & Bryce performed at the Spring Piano Recital that their teacher holds each year at the local community college theatre. It was very nice! Caleigh went up and played afterwards. Pretty sweet night. :)

Mommy's Helper

If I'm in the kitchen, this girl is there with me. Always. She loves to help & cook. So, when I saw this Learning Tower at a neighbor's garage sale this morning, I had to grab it! It is awesome. I wish I would have splurged for one a year ago. It makes me feel so much better than having her constantly up on the counter...little monkey! She likes it better too....It's much easier to help this way!

The First Watermelon of the season. YUM!

All Dressed for The Day

Well...the babies that is...they're all dressed for the day. Yep, we're still in "baby love" it seems. She even talked me into buying one of her babies a little seat for the car with a buckle "so she'll be safe". Oh My. Here they all are (C & her triplets) watching Toy Story 3. :)

End of The Year Celebration!

Singing her little song!

Blake & Bryce : Preamble & Star Spangled Banner recital.

Caleigh with her diploma.

Caleigh with her preschool buddies.

Blake & Bryce with the other 3rd - 5th graders.

Our homeschool co-op ladies put on a wonderful end of the year program for our kids at the church where we meet every Monday for school. It was really nice! Caleigh got her PreSchool Diploma & sang a little song for the parents. Blake & Bryce recited the Preamble to the Constitution and sang The Star Spangled Banner to open the program. Proud Mama.

Baby Love....

Checking for a dirty diaper! HAHAHA! She said there was "poopie" and handed her to me!
Getting baby dressed. She's named her Chloe. Awwwww!

Getting ready to feed her other baby, then...

She decided twins were a good idea. Oh, to be young!

I just love this one!

Well, if you don't know the history of throwing baby dolls on the floor & totally ignorning them stashed in the corner of her room for over two years, then you cannot fully appreciate my post! Yes, this is the first day she's played with her babies (as they are now lovingly called.) Not sure what happened, but they were hauled out one by one first thing yesterday morning. Diapers changed, fed, rocked & put to bed with a blanket....sure was cute! Hope it happens again soon! Otherwise, those poor dolls are going to have another really long nap!

Mowing with Daddy

Needless to say, the mower is now a new favorite. It's the first year she's "mowed" with Daddy. She does not like the loud noise, however, so she uses her brother's ear protectors for shooting!

Ride to Live. Live to Ride.

If you were to ask her to choose between her bike & a motorcycle ride with her Daddy...that would be a close call! I would say these are her two favorite things right now & it's been beautiful weather for both!

A Great Day for the Park!

We have a wonderful park about 10 minutes away from our house. It's sponsored by Brookshire Bro.'s Grocery & it has an outdoor play area & an indoor museum with all kinds of animals & an old fashioned General Store. It's always a hit & our kids never get tired of going. I kinda feel like a loser mom because this is the first time we've been this year! When the boys were little, it was a weekly event. Guess I need to step it up a bit! We had a great time and spent three hours playing and looking around today. The weather was P.E.R.F.E.C.T.! Caleigh went on the Merry Go Round for the first time and we buried toes in the sand. Good Times.

Sunshine after the Rain

And they're headed out for the race!
Tricks

Talkin' tricks.

This girl is a bike ridin' fool

Luckily, I got her in a helmet!

She has zero fear of going fast.

Yep, she's going to give me a run for my money!

Well, it looks like this Spring is the year of the scooters & bikes. You've looked at pictures of the kids on the trampoline for so many years, you're probably in shock! Now, the trampoline is not neglected by any means, but C begs the boys to play out front with her so she can ride her bike! They've rediscovered their scooters & are now practicing some new tricks. Now, if I could just get shoes on all 3!

Thank you God for the beautiful sunshine after all of our rain last night!
