Chuck-E-Cheese

It's always a good time for the kids at Chuck-E-Cheese (except when the mouse came out ...Caleigh wasn't cool with that; I had to save her).

Hanging Out....

Caleigh & her Daddy talking to his mom and Papaw Ronnie.

Gaylynn (MeMe) & Randy (Uncle Randy)

Caleigh with her MeMe

Talking on the phone to her MaMaw Beverly telling her to come to MeMe's & visit!

Yesterday we hung out around the house for the most part. Caleigh took a 3 hour nap while James & the boys met his sister & her husband for lunch at The Red Lobster. When she woke up, we headed over to my sister-in-law's house (otherwise known as MeMe & Uncle Randy's house) for swimming & burgers & just some good 'ole visiting time. We used to live just down the road from them for about 5 years when we were first married....I miss being so close....now we live about 40 minutes away. Anyway, we had a good evening....a little storm even blew through & cooled things off for us a bit. Nice.

Sympathy...sometimes it's A-OK!

Well...I had a bad day last week. You know, a "want to send my kids out to play & curl up under my covers" type of day. I'll spare you the details. Luckily, days like "that" don't come along too often. Evidently, I was a fairly pitiful sight when the hubby got home from work (at 8:30...which didn't help the situation!). The next day, he sent me these! Aren't they pretty! Luckily, "that" day is history & hopefully another "one" won't come along for a little while.

Summer Blooms

Some things actually love the summer heat (not me)....there are some pretty blooms around the yard....

Going to the Rodeo....

We're heading to the Mesquite Rodeo tonight...babysitter's coming & momma & daddy get a night out! Whoop! I thought I'd post my husband, in his younger years, riding a bull in the Athens, Tx Rodeo...many years ago! I was only 6 when he was riding this bull! LOL! So I figured I would post a picture of me when I was little....with my cat, Samantha. The two pictures hang together in our house....I think it's funny because they are so opposite, but fit our individual personalities to a "T". He's the bull riding type. I'm the sit around & love on a cat type. I miss having a cat; our boys are allergic :(

The Years Do Fly.....

These pictures have been hanging in my dining room for years now...yes, years & yet it seems like yesterday I was driving the boys to the bluebonnet fields for photographs....So, I was getting a little watery eyed thinking about how quickly the years go by & thought I'd share them with you. I think they were 6 in these pictures. They still had all their baby teeth...so I'm pretty sure that's correct....See, the years go by & I forget things like the age they were in pictures. I need to be more like my mom & pencil the details on the backs of all of my framed photos!

Hoping & Praying.....

Hoping and praying the beaches will be open & the water will be clean enough for us to enjoy our annual beach trip the end of August! So...I was thinking of the last two years there....hoping to add some new memories this year. Cannot believe our boys will be turning 10 during our trip. 10!

First "Tea Party"....

Grampie....My Dad
Grandmama...My Mom
"What's in here?"
Cooking for all of us.

Her first "Party" with dolls.

It was really a cookout party, but it was with a table and dolls & there was cooking and drinks, so I'm calling it her first "Tea Party". It is the first time she's shown any desire to play with dolls in a very long time....she's just never been a "doll lover". My mom had been shopping and bought her a new table & chairs along with a little BBQ Pit that talks (too cute)....we had a fun afternoon at the Grandparents' house. She pulled out her old baby dolls that she's kept forever ( The larger doll was her baby when she was little. ) The boys had a surprise too....Mom had bought them 4 new Lego Sets...they were busy all day! :) So glad we don't live in Alabama anymore....it was just too far. I love day trips to the grandparents' house!
