Spring is just around the corner. Today was officially the first ''bare-feet day'' of the year. We met my parents in town for a yummy lunch & visit, then a quick trip by the store....we were all ready to come home & play outside! We got all of our dead pansies out of the pots & got them ready for Spring plantings. Cleaned off the deck (tons of leaves & bird seeds!). Played in the sand & jumped on the trampoline. All. Day.! So pretty out today. I hope you had wonderful weather wherever you are too!

Saturday...How I Love Thee....

I do love Saturdays! Busy day today, but loads of family time which is really rare with my husband's schedule lately. You know what though? I didn't take any pictures...well, except on my phone. Maybe I'll try to post it here, if I can figure it out! It's just the kids hanging out at Red Lobster waiting for their lunch/dinner...whatever you call a meal at 3:00 in the afternoon!!! ( Nope! Couldn't figure it out! So, you get one of my favorite pics of C from last summer....looking forward to summer! Now that it's in the 70's here, I'm officially over winter.) J leaves for Phoenix tomorrow...single mom 'til Wednesday night alert! I'll try not to whine too much; no promises. ;)

Another Two Bite the Dust!

...books that is! The boys got haircuts this morning after these pics were taken...thank goodness...they were looking pretty shaggy ;) We added a new member of the family today: A blue Beta fish. Caleigh picked it out. I wait 10 years to have a little girl & her favorite color is blue....go figure. Today was errand day: Dry Cleaners, Eye doctor, PetSmart, Haircuts, and a trip to McDonald's for the kids. I just cannot eat there! They like it, so about once a month, I'll surprise them with it. ICK!

I Need A Class!

I really should take some time for some photography lessons. I really love it, but many days, no matter how many pictures I take, I just don't like any of them! My camera's probably too fancy for me as I have no idea what most of the dials and settings mean. Maybe I could just read the manual....hmmmm...there's a thought! So, today, I just have me...trying to take a picture of me in my bedroom dresser mirror...it blurred me. Everything else is pretty clear. UGH! Help! Tomorrow...back to photographing cute kids; it's pretty hard to mess them up!

Division Baby!

Caleigh is starting young....learning her division facts! LOL! She just has to "do her Math" while the boys are doing theirs...so she's "learning division" while we're learning equivalent fractions! I do love these little write & erase learning mats by Melissa & Doug! The boys use the heck out of them for speed drills. Getcha some!

Great Reading Weather!

Excited to have finished more books!

I know a lot of you have had kiddos home from school lately because of all of the strange snowy weather we've been having down south...so weird for East Texas for sure! Well, for us, it has proven to be great reading weather! The boys have been reading at least 1 chapter book a week, sometimes two. The book Blake chose for this week was a little below his reading level, but he really still likes the Magic Tree House Series and we'd never read #1 for some reason, so....we focused more on punctuation and emphasis of words, etc. Bryce chose Walter the Warlock; he loved it because it was super funny. Blake chose it for this week!

I know it seems that I have a lot of pics in the kitchen, but to tell the truth, we are in our kitchen a lot! Caleigh really loves to help, so yesterday I let her make the boys' sandwiches all by herself. She did a great job! Talking all the while.....

Happy Dance Party Tuesday! Now, we're just waiting on the sleet & snow to hit...supposed to be around midnight or so. I'll let 'ya know! No plans for tomorrow...should get a good school day in. Haircut on Thursday, then out for Valentine's Day Dinner on Thursday night....off to Dallas for the weekend, so this cold white stuff is welcome, but it better move on out quickly!!!

My Winter Favorite

This has become my all time winter favorite! It's what is always by my little one's bathtub now....Why you ask? Well, since I've been using these products for C, she's had no eczema flair ups. None. Zero this winter. Plus, it smells really yummy! So, I'm going to keep using it through the Spring & Summer months as well, and I'm hoping the eczema is a thing of her past. Fingers crossed! ;)

Snow Day!

Well, the weather-man was right! This morning we awoke to a beautiful blanket of snow on the ground. They say we got around 4-5 inches...it was pretty fluffy....too fluffy for snowman creations. We had fun playing around outside this morning for a couple of hours. Thank goodness we found all of our ski wear. It came in handy today & plus, I found that Caleigh's outfit from last year is a few inches too short! YIKES! I'm going to try to let out the overalls and see if that helps. If not, I may be in the market for another bib before we ski in March. Everyone's already in bed tonight....ahhhh.....nice.

Mumbo Jumbo...

We've been hanging out a lot by the fire....no ice & snow here, but bitter cold in our neck of the woods! Highs haven't hit freezing in a couple of days...Supposed to snow tonight & tomorrow tho. The kids are waiting & hoping....
As for today, no school closings here! LOL!

See...not much to say...just a little "mumbo jumbo". This & that...did get out of the house this afternoon for the boys to go & play with friends. We were getting a little cabin fever around here. Made Tae Kwon Do practice last night, but I just wasn't feeling it tonight, so we stayed in. The weatherman is calling for ice pellets & snow starting tonight & continuing tomorrow. We'll see if he's right! The kids are praying for it of course!
