A Full Saturday!

Look who arrived today! Spring is coming! HOORAY!

We had a very busy Saturday! We left the house at 10 and went to Academy to shop for James' upcoming trip to Arizona & then for the remainder of the things we need for our ski trip coming up. It took a while, but we did it! I think I have everything bought or ordered now for the kids....I still have to buy some powder pants. We went to eat Mexican food & made a quick trip to Wal-Mart (oh I do not like that store, but just couldn't bring myself to drive all the way to Sams!) Home for a day outdoors as it was BEEEEEUUUUUTIFUL!!! Now need to get off of here & help James pack....for some reason, he cannot match his clothes for a business trip, but he can dress himself just fine every morning....go figure! ;)

Well, as I type, the clouds are rolling in so I am happy we had an extended recess around lunch~time today. It was so nice out & not as windy as yesterday. The boys rode the 4-wheeler & Caleigh jumped on the trampoline & explored the boys' fort. I got too many cute pictures, but I'll have to choose my favorites for you! I am thinking about printing my blog monthly into a little book all year. Is anyone else doing this that is doing the 365 project??? I worry that if I wait until the end of the year, the expense will scare me away from the printing!

This is so sweet...at night before bed, the boys wind down with books in Blake's bed...Caleigh has started toting a book in & climbing up in between them to read. Caught it finally without them seeing me! HA!

She wanted me to take a picture of her favorite nightgown. She's finally big enough for the nightgown size as they don't start until a size 2T. It's a little big on her, but she doesn't mind.

Today was a little "off". Do you ever have those days? Not a bad day by any means, just felt a little "off". I think it was because we haven't had a full day of work since last Thursday...we had our "snow day" Friday & then the weekend came & went & we have co-op on Mondays which lasts until 1:30, so we don't do school at home on Mondays. So, 4 days off, led to a day "off". Get it? Hoping for a little better flow tomorrow. We did make it to the library today to pick up our books for Science for the next two weeks....this week we're studying all about insects. Hopefully we can find some outside with all of this cold weather. Well, I'm off to watch American Idol. I sure am grateful for the DVR!

We had a busy day at Co-Op. We are sure enjoying meeting a lot of home school families & the boys are making many new friends. They had their Valentine's exchange today and came home with lots of candy & valentines. They were excited! Caleigh came home & took a good nap then woke up ready to work....we filled up all of our feeders and then made some new pine cone feeders. It was fun & she loved eating the peanut butter. It was very cold and windy today, so no outside pictures....maybe tomorrow...we'll see. The snow is all melted & Caleigh is not too happy with Mr. Sun about that!

I can't help but post a few more pictures from our beautiful snow day! Not much going on today...we slept in & went out for breakfast. James is working attending a training this afternoon from 1-5 & then we're off to a friends' house tonight to visit and have some jambalaya. Yum! Kind of nice to have an 'off' day after all of our playing yesterday!

Well, the weatherman was right & we got about 5 inches of snow overnight. We woke up to a Winter Wonderland & we were all out & playing by 7:45 this morning! Got to take full advantage of the day...ones like these don't come along too often in our parts! I think the last time we had a big snow was in the mid '80's. I was still a kid! I think I took over 100 pictures today...these are a few of my favorites.....
