Rain Rain Go Away....

Pitter, Patter....
It's raining cats & dogs...pitter patter, pitter patter....
Poor Bella girl...she loves it outside...this rain is depressing her! ;)
Help! My kids are turning into ninjas, or emperors, or something....
Yikes! I'm scared!
Oh, thank goodness, it's just my boy!

Well, it has been raining cats and dogs, as they say, off & on for the past several days. Even the animals are tired of it...I did manage to mow in between downpours yesterday. Caleigh & I enjoyed our walk after the rains today. B & B are so good to entertain themselves, but even they got a little cabin fever this afternoon stuck inside with the rain. Maybe we can have a fun outing tomorrow after I get a haircut in the morning. Blake's tummy has been off today...I'm praying it's just something he ate or a combination of things he ate, or the plum episode and not a bug!

Dollar Tree Fun & Randomness....

This boy cracks me up.
Glo Sticks Rule!
....Hmmm...not too sure what's up with the black blanket?!
The 3 Amigos.
Well, they actually said they were pirates.
Music.
"Do Not Wake" the sleeping dog.
The Sole Survivor....I'm not a good snail mommy...they all died. :(
What the boys had for lunch....
What I had for lunch.
I did cave & have a yummy ham & cheese with tomato sandwich a minute ago tho! MMMM!

We ran a few errands today & made a quick trip into the Dollar Tree. The kids always find something they just have to have! Makes for a fun afternoon.....

The other pictures are just some random ones from today....finally picked up my camera after a 2 day hiatus.

Rained again. Ugh! My grass is so high! May have to mow it wet.

One week down with Jillian & her 30-day Shred Program. She's tough!

Home 2 Years Today

Hey There! I've been home 2 Years Today!
Happy 4th of July!

We've cooked our brisket & pork chops. My peach cobbler is in the oven. We're on our way soon to our friends' house to eat & swim. Then on to the lake to watch the fireworks show. It would be nice if Caleigh would take a nap...she's been talking & singing to herself in her bed for an hour now....it's not lookin' good! Maybe she'll get a power nap in the car! Hope you're having a fun weekend.

The Museum of Natural History/Dallas: Science Museum

"Planting a Garden"
Learning about the Ice
Just too funny!
All 3 kids' favorite...the body heat display
What's not to love about a big sand play area?
Answer: It's not for big kids!
Setting off the Hot Air Balloon
Water, water everywhere!
The silly mirrors were a big hit too.
The next favorite was the dinosaur fossil dig:

We sugared them up & headed home!

We spent yesterday afternoon in the Science section of the Museum of Natural History in Dallas....we'll have to go back! We didn't have time for the IMAX show, the Planetarium & so much more! We enjoyed our time there though! Lots of learning to be done and some really fun hands-on activities for all ages of kids. As a bonus, we got in free with our local Discovery Science Place/Tyler membership! I took tons of pictures! I'll just have to pick some of my favs....so, warning: Picture Heavy Post!

Annual Check-Up at Scottish Rite

Caleigh had her annual check-up at Scottish Rite today...everything went pretty well. The doctors are happy with how her feet turned out. Evidently, it is her missing ACLs that are causing her feet to turn in when she walks...it's her way of balancing herself to walk & run...her hips & knees just don't move in the same way that ours do. There will probably be one more surgery on one foot within the next 2 years. For now, there are no braces/procedures to correct the issues with her knees. There's no reason to do MRIs on them because they wouldn't perform surgery until she is much older anyway. For now, we're free for another year unless any new problems arise or her left foot continues to turn in even more....Afterward we went to lunch at Pappadeaux Seafood Rest. It was so yummy!!! We spent the afternoon at the Dallas Museum of Natural History. Pictures to come tomorrow...I took so many; it will take me a while to go through them all!

Last Day of Soccer Camp & Straw Bracelets

Puppy Kisses before the last day of soccer camp (That dog is SO NOT allowed on that couch! Ugh!)
Blake & Bryce made Caleigh some straw bracelets (since we don't have those cool rubber-band shaped ones...what are they called anyway??)
She thinks they're pretty cool!
We head to Scottish Rite tomorrow for Caleigh's 1 year check-up on her feet. We're also taking the boys & will have lunch somewhere fun & head to the Dallas Hands On Museum. It will be a long day....but hopefully a fun one too!
