Excited to have finished more books!
I know a lot of you have had kiddos home from school lately because of all of the strange snowy weather we've been having down south...so weird for East Texas for sure! Well, for us, it has proven to be great reading weather! The boys have been reading at least 1 chapter book a week, sometimes two. The book Blake chose for this week was a little below his reading level, but he really still likes the Magic Tree House Series and we'd never read #1 for some reason, so....we focused more on punctuation and emphasis of words, etc. Bryce chose Walter the Warlock; he loved it because it was super funny. Blake chose it for this week!

You know Caleigh, sometimes I wish I could make this face at the world too! You look much cuter than I would doing it though! Out of the many shots I took today, this one just says it all.
This has become my all time winter favorite! It's what is always by my little one's bathtub now....Why you ask? Well, since I've been using these products for C, she's had no eczema flair ups. None. Zero this winter. Plus, it smells really yummy! So, I'm going to keep using it through the Spring & Summer months as well, and I'm hoping the eczema is a thing of her past. Fingers crossed! ;)

Ahhhh....the rewards of being the helper!
Well, the weather-man was right! This morning we awoke to a beautiful blanket of snow on the ground. They say we got around 4-5 inches...it was pretty fluffy....too fluffy for snowman creations. We had fun playing around outside this morning for a couple of hours. Thank goodness we found all of our ski wear. It came in handy today & plus, I found that Caleigh's outfit from last year is a few inches too short! YIKES! I'm going to try to let out the overalls and see if that helps. If not, I may be in the market for another bib before we ski in March. Everyone's already in bed tonight....ahhhh.....nice.
We've been hanging out a lot by the fire....no ice & snow here, but bitter cold in our neck of the woods! Highs haven't hit freezing in a couple of days...Supposed to snow tonight & tomorrow tho. The kids are waiting & hoping....
As for today, no school closings here! LOL!

I just love this picture from Saturday at the Tae Kwon Do Tournament. It encompasses how we all felt. Tired...waiting...watching...waiting...tired of waiting! She did so good...all she needed was her Daddy there & she sat pretty much the whole 3 hours for "her boys' turn". I'm not usually a complainer, but my goodness....10 year olds having to sit on a gym floor for 3 hours for a turn to compete....that's just not right. They were bored & tired & it was so hot and stuffy in there...I'm surprised no one fainted! Hoping the next competition runs a little more smoothly!
