Day 109 A Monday in April.....

I just cannot express enough how much these boys LOVE to climb!

And how much this little girl loves to run!

So....here's the deck! Now, picture it stained a darker color....we can't do it until the wood is completely dried out...end of July or August.....

It seems to make a pretty good roadway!

They built 'church pew' seating all across one side & 1/2 of the other...it is pretty darn comfy!

Now....who wants to come over & pot plants and hanging baskets for me???!!!!

We have home-school co-op on Mondays....until the end of April....man, my kids love it & I know they will miss it over the summer! We get home a little before 2:00, so we snuck in a little outside play-time before Caleigh's nap. I thought I would snap a few pictures of our finished deck. I know it looks huge, and it is....however, we didn't use this part of our yard at all because it stayed muddy & dug up due to our lovely dogs! So....we will definately use it now & yes, I'm on the hunt for mosquito zappers, repellant, sprays & anything else I can find to make our yard more user friendly! I was just chatting with my neighbor today about my love/hate relationship with our yard! Love it! We live on about an acre & that's hard to find in a Tyler neighborhood. Love It! LOVE all of our trees & 'natural' landscaping! HATE the mosquitos! HATE the poison ivy! Hate the water that stand in parts of our yard breeding more Mosquitos which I Hate! Now, mind you...I don't usually use the word "hate", but truly, it is warranted here!!!! Hope you have a great week!

Day 108 : Crawfish Run

Day 108: A perfect evening for a Crawfish Run! We drove to Big Sandy (about 1/2 hr. away) & picked up some crawfish, corn & potatoes at James' favorite Crawfish Spot. Crawfish happens to be his favorite food....it ranks only 2nd to octopus for Blake & 2nd to cherries for Bryce. Needless to say, we had 3 very happy boys in our home tonight! Daddy was sweet & grilled pork chops for Caleigh & me! She wasn't too sure about those mud-bugs!

Boys Oh Boys

I love the way my pictures turned out today. I took them with my zoom lens from far away even tho it looks like I'm right next to them! I also had the dial on some weird setting that I don't know & I like the way the lighting & colors turned out! Kinda different! Blake is in black & Bryce is in the red...yes, that is spit that Bryce is playing with...luckily, it's his spit & he used it to kill an ant that was trying to eat his caterpillar I'm told.

Soccer Days aren't just for the Boys!

The boys look forward to soccer on Fridays....but they're not the only ones! Caleigh loves to go & play 'ball' with her little friends too! Great Sunny & Warm Day! Perfect for soccer practice. Caleigh misses her nap time on Fridays, so she's usually sacked out by the time we get home at 4:30....I let her nap in my car while I swing outside....for now....pretty soon it will be way too hot for that!

We had beautiful weather today! We're having a deck built out back...they're almost done with it! We cannot stain it until the wood completely dries in mid July....I think once it blends in with the natural environment I will like it even more. The kids enjoyed the afternoon outside!

mommy do-over day

Math-time today.

Caleigh was happy during Math...she got an ice-cream cone break!

Wheeeee!

I think it's funny how she crossed her feet when she swings....for now, she doesn't want them anywhere near the ground if she doesn't have shoes on.

Today she was a "kitty cat" on the trampoline...silly girl.

Thanks be to God that He granted me another day with my kids & I got a "mommy do-over" day...a beautiful day, good school day, piano for both boys & time to play outside. Ahhhh...much better!

Snail Love

We bought a new snail for our tank since the other black snail died several weeks ago, or months...I can't keep track. Anyway, the other one's been dead a while, so when we were at PetSmart buying bones for the dog last Friday night, we ended up bringing home a Golden Mystery Snail. He definately likes the other snail. Here is my picture of our snail love we got going on in our house. Glad the snails are loving each other....today was one of "those" days where my patience was thin & I had 100 things to do & I don't feel like I got any of them done even though I ran around like a chicken with my head cut off. I'm sure my children are hoping for a more laid back mom for tomorrow.

Baby Bed vs. Big Girl Bed

First of all, let me say, I am a sucker for little hand craft projects! The 2 year old class at Cottage Garden made these today....oh, be still my heart! LITTLE HANDS!!!

If you saw my FB Post today, you will know I'm starting to think about making the move from the crib to C's big girl bed. She still loves her crib, but I really think she might like some more room soon...I'm not jumping into anything; she doesn't climb out like the boys did (eee gads!). Maybe this summer....

I'm just not sure I'm ready to see her move from here.....
