It's a Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood.

Yes, that's sweat on my baby's brow...sweat...during the end of January! Only in East Texas!

We had a beautiful day today...overshadowed only by the fact that my dryer quit heating! UGH! Luckily, a great man from a great local company saved the day! I called him at 9:00 & he had me all fixed up by 1:00! That, my friends, is my own little miracle for today. :)

The kids all enjoyed the pretty day after a morning of school-work. LOVED the sunshine! Much needed for us all! Tomorrow morning we head to Longview for the boys' first Tae Kwon Do Team Tournament/Competition. So excited for them! Can't wait!

I am enjoying looking at something different today...my new view...
Although in hind sight, I really don't think it was a good idea for me to put the bookcase in full view all day. It may drive me crazy. Are they straight? Organized? Tilted just so? UGH! I hope you're not like me, 'cause it does drive me crazy!

In Which I Vow to Re-Decorate that Wall!

The Wall.

Alrighty...this little wall arrangement has got to go! It shows up in so many pictures because of the angle of my kitchen & bar. (So many pics are taken at our bar area!) I'm really tired of seeing it...it's to the left of my big window that I can see from the kitchen. So...tomorrow...it's going! I don't know how long I've had it this way; same pictures; maybe just moved them around a bit. I've got to change it. Now, the green paint, that's another story. It' s been there 6 years too, but it's dark & on textured walls, so that would be a much bigger "fix". Maybe next year LOL! The pictures are coming down tonight...will fill in holes & touch up paint....now, what to put there?!?!

Saturday....Gone all Day!

We've been gone all day to Dallas....no new pictures today...oops! However....

I will share with you that I've been doing the above workout with 2 lb weights (I know, I'm working on it!) for a week now. Good results...I'm happy with it and think I'll stick with it for at least another week before switching.

Next...this fish is STILL alive...it's been 16 months. That's a record for me!

Little Tummy

I bought a new easel to use for school. I love it! (It's the little things :)...someone else loves it too. It really has provided a wonderful drawing area for her when we're not using it for Math.

Tummies...the boys never had & still do not have a tummy. They eat like horses & still...nothing...flat. I'm sure I will have to invent adjustable jeans for age 16 boys. I'm jealous!

Now, Caleigh....she's a different story. She has this little tummy; so cute. I'm constantly letting out her adjustable jeans....

New Glasses!

Blake got glasses today....despite the somber looks (he's trying to be cool btw!)...he really does like them. And no headaches today! Whoop! He only wears them for reading, school-work, watching TV, computer time, etc. He doesn't have to wear them all day. Right now, they're cool. We'll see what he thinks after he has to keep up with them & clean them for a week or so. No, Bryce didn't need glasses. Yes, there was drama envolved there. Yes, he got over it....I think. It's a twin thing. Ugh. I think he looks really handsome.

The bunk bed are twins...again...don't ask my husband how many times he's done this...he'll say something smarty... see, he didn't even switch the headboards & footboards back around or take the side rail off. He said it will make it easier the next time they want the bunks back! hahaha!

Bryce...Florida 2009

Well, it was a rainy, cold Sunday. Perfect for changing sheets, cleaning house & getting ready for our first day back at Co-Op tomorrow. Yes, while every other school is out for Holiday, we go. Hmmm...kinda weird, but it's just how the calendar falls since we go 3 Mondays on, 1 off. I'm sorry, I have no pictures today. I moved my "office" area from my kitchen counter to a real desk...in my room & everything. The boys wanted to take the bunk beds down in Bryce's room & make two twin beds for when Blake wants to "Sleep-over" in Bryce's room. This turned into rearranging both rooms & cleaning. Lots of cleaning! Just didn't have the time to pick up the camera today....so, here's a cute pic that's a favorite of mine. It's just not a post without a pic! Have a great Monday everyone.
