East Texas Oil Museum "Field Trip"

The Rolling Clouds above were a bit hit with the kids.
"Ticket Please"
The middle of the "town"...a muddy mess with mules & old cars "stuck" during a move...
"Are you sure this is fake mud?"
Inside the General Store.
Turning a pump wheel...
Pumping Water....
My little student.
Listen!

The boys loved all the old cars on display.

Bye for today!

The boys always call it a "field trip" when we take a day-trip somewhere. I think it's funny! We went to the big Kilgore, Texas to the Junior College Campus where the East Texas Oil Museum is located on Saturday. My grandparents used to take me there when I was a kid...man, it looked a lot bigger then! It hasn't changed much & our kids really enjoyed it. Lots of history & some hand-on things to do. It was nice & air conditioned (a must this time of year!) After the museum we went to eat Mexican food for Caleigh's "Gotcha Day"...her choice! This girl can put away some cheese enchiladas!!! Today was church, lunch & the dreaded grocery store trip....tomorrow starts a new journey...my friend & I are starting the 30-day Shred program. Hope I can walk on Tuesday! The boys have Soccer Camp this week....so, let the driving begin! It's all the way across town....of course it is....
